You can access this documentation from the Start view in SDL Trados Synergy or through the Windows Start Menu under All Programs SDL Passolo Manuals.In this release, the set of SDL Trados applications has been extended to include SDL Passolo Essential enhanced to include many new features. These improvements are described in more detail in the What's New in SDL Trados 2007 tutorial available from the SDL Trados 2007 Suite Freelance Start menu group and in the SDL Trados Synergy User Guide.By default, SDL Trados 2007 Suite Freelance is copy protected by a softkey license. When using the softkey license, you cannot run two instances of Translator's Workbench Freelance on the same local area network. The second instance will run in Demo mode only. This behavior is by design.

With Synergy, you can quickly create and distribute projects and track project progress in real-time. Project team members work with project files using the SDL Trados translation tools and can easily share project resources such as translation memories online.

These formats are supported in both SDL Trados and SDLX 2007. Microsoft Office 2003, XP (2002) and 2000 continue to be supported.
For more information on these formats, please see the SDL Trados File Formats Reference Guide.SDL Trados 2007 Service Pack 3 included in SDL Trados 2007 Suite Freelance supports Adobe FrameMaker 8 (MIF), Adobe InDesign CS3 (INX), QuarkXPress 7 (through the third-party plug-in CopyFlow by Napsys) and BroadVision QuickSilver 3.0. These formats are supported in both SDL Trados and SDLX 2007 (except for QuickSilver 3.0 which is only supported in SDL Trados). Earlier versions of these file formats continue to be supported, however SDL recommends using the Unicode-based FrameMaker 8 MIF format rather than MIF 7.x for optimum conversion results, especially when translating into and from Asian languages.
